Job Title:Two postdoctoral fellowships in neurophysiology
Description:Two postdoctoral positions are available immediately at the CNRS Unit? de Neurosciences Int?gratives et Computationnelles directed by Dr. Yves Fr?gnac, in the context of the European Commission integrated project FACETS:

Project 1 will examine the role of synaptic plasticity in V1 visual cortex and in cortical feedback to thalamic nuclei.

Project 2 will explore the dynamic properties of visual cortical association fields;

Both projects will use intracellular or whole cell recording and dynamic clamp hybrid neuron recording configurations, in vivo.

The successful candidates will have a real interest in integrative neuroscience and will have experience in electrophysiology instrumentation, including a good basic knowledge of programming for data acquisition and analysis.

Positions will remain open until filled, and are available for up to 2 years.
Salaries will be adjusted to previous experience, indexed by the CNRS scale for fixed duration contracts.

The CNRS-UNIC ( is a multidisciplinary, international research team, including biologists, theoretical physicists and mathematicians engaged in parallel research programmes in sensory neurophysiology and theoretical modelling of biological neural networks.
