Application -- 2nd call

To apply for FACETS-ITN:

1. Check whether working with one or several of the FACETS-ITN partners would be interesting for you via the list of example thesis topics or via the websites of the partner groups.
2. Check whether you fulfill the eligibility conditions (short version: your graduation date is after January 2006, your nationality is different from the country of the chosen host group and you stayed at most 12 months in that country between January 2007 and January 2010).
3. Fill out the application forms online (until 20 December 2009). Part of the application process is to name 2 to 3 people we can ask for letters of reference (which we need until 3 January 2010).
4. When you 'submitted' the application the system will ask you to send us a signed confirmation page. If you are living inside the EU please send the actual paper copy via postal service. If you living outside the EU or face a possible delay due to the shipment time please scan the signed letter and email it instead.
5. After we received your signed confirmation letter we will ask the suggested people for letters of reference.
6. The selection committee will meet early January 2010. The committee will evaluate the applications for which we received the signed confirmation letter and the letters of reference.
7. The actual Ph.D. work can start between February 2010 and July 2010. The funding duration is 3 years.
